Our Therapy Horses What makes a good therapy horse? They need to possess a wide range of traits and skills which include patience, tolerance and obedience. In addition, they must have excellent ground manners and be physically fit enough to maintain steady gaits and tolerate sudden weight shifts from beginner and unsteady riders. The horses must have excellent ground manners and be able to walk quietly with leaders and side-walkers. They come in many shapes, sizes and breeds.
